Routine Daily Tasks: 1. Issues and returns 2. Assist students with searching for books 3. Shelve returned books throughout day (morning and after school) 4. Joint supervision of students at recess times and after school 5. Maintain newspapers and magazines in the library 6. Keep library in good order check books are in correct order on shelves pencils sharpened and tables tidy 7. Turn off Mac student terminals, lights and A/C before leaving at end of day Maintenance of Library Database: 1. Assist with keeping student records up to date (new and transfer students) 2. Lost books and damaged books – create fines in the library system, sent letters to parents, collect payment information from Finance Department , update database 3. Assist with preparation of student library cards and shelf marke 4. Assist with cataloging books in the library system Special Events: 1. Assist with the events in Book Week 2. Assist librarian in preparation for library promotional events Other Tasks: 1. Wall displays, shelf labels, etc – maintain in good order 2. Redistribution of textbooks (remove old labels, re-label for new classes) 3. Assist librarian with inventory of all recourses before the end of school year 4. Assist with collection and distribution of Book Club 5. Assist with ordering books and library supplies Ongoing Tasks (in between daily tasks): Stamping, labelling, covering of new books and readers Repair damaged books Qualifications 岗位要求 1、Bachelor’s degree or above 2、Major in library or archives is preferred 3、Working experience in similar position is preferred 4、Working experience in international school library is preferred 5、Good commend in both spoken and written English 6、Good communication skills 7、Experienced in library system software 8、Good team-player
